
HeartSoundMind Consulting ("we," "us," "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of your personal and health information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles, and the ACT Health Records (Privacy and Access) Act 1997.
We collect this information to provide clinical psychology services, process referrals and rebates, communicate with you about appointments, and meet our professional and legal record-keeping obligations as registered psychologists.
Your information is stored securely in our practice management system and clinical files, with access restricted to staff directly involved in your care. We retain client health records for at least seven years from the date of your last consultation, or, for clients who were minors at the time of treatment, until they turn 25, in line with standard health record-keeping requirements. Records are then securely destroyed.
